Dividend Yield (TTM)
Dividends received over the trailing 12 months, shown as a percentage of your current portfolio value. This is an annualized income rate — the same way "yield" is reported everywhere else (Yahoo Finance, your broker) — so it stays comparable however long you've held your positions.
Worked example
Current portfolio value: $32,626. Dividends received in the last 12 months: $346.90.
Dividend Yield = $346.90 ÷ $32,626 = 1.06%
Dividend Yield = $346.90 ÷ $32,626 = 1.06%
This is separate from your lifetime total dividends (shown just below the yield figure) — that number keeps growing the longer you hold; the yield above reflects your current income rate. A portfolio can have strong dividend yield with weak price performance, or vice versa — they're independent, and worth checking separately rather than assuming one implies the other.
